The problem

Credit: https://racismuntaught.com

For EDGE, a class revolving around Racism Untaught, each group recieved either an experience or a problem, which we then got to try and solve or help those impacted. Each person in each group got to do their own project that revolved around the same experience. Our group’s projects were based on the video above.

Graffiti walls

Based on the video as well as in-depth discussion with my peers and my professor, I decided to use graffiti walls for one of my forms of research. I put these posters up in the Art and Design building hallway. The answers I got for the “How would you rather be greeted?” poster inspired the name of the campaign: #JustSayHi

Instagram interviews

This part of the process was one of my favorites because I had the opportunity to talk to real people about their experiences as people of color as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community. I decided to expand this project to the LGBTQ+ community because I wanted this website to be an inclusive, educational, and welcoming experience for all who visit.

This video shows how an instagram story would look when trying to draw in potential users/storytellers.
